Returns & Refunds

At MZbilling, we understand the significance of resolving account-related issues, including statement returns and payment refunds. To address these matters promptly and effectively, we have a dedicated team of specialists. To ensure clarity and effective communication, we kindly ask all parties involved to familiarize themselves with our policies and procedures and understand their respective responsibilities.

Patient Check Returns In cases where a patient's check is returned by the bank due to insufficient funds, the patient is accountable for all associated returned check fees, as well as any postage or shipping charges.

In such instances, MZbilling, on behalf of the medical provider, will reach out to the patient to obtain credit or debit card information for automatic payment processing.

mzbilling will send three statement notices to the patient on behalf of the medical provider. If the account issues remain unresolved after three attempts, we will return the account to the client's care.

Return of Statementsmzbilling is responsible for mailing patient billing statements on behalf of the medical provider. However, if we receive three consecutive returned statements from the patient, we will forward them back to the client.

Please note that mzbilling is not responsible for postage and shipping charges associated with undeliverable statements. The client is responsible for covering all shipping and handling costs related to returned billing statements.

Refund PolicyRefunds or overpayments to patients or insurance companies are the responsibility of the medical provider. mzbilling does not handle these refunds.

While we are responsible for processing patient payments, we do not handle the return of payments. Any refunds, along with associated postage costs, are the responsibility of the clients or providers.

Rest assured, MZbilling will update billing systems and financial accounts to accurately reflect posted refunds and reversals, ensuring commissions and charges are adjusted accordingly."
